Overview

This webinar will give you an insight into the benefits of music in the clinical and non-clinical setting.  Music can aid patient compliance, reduce anxiety, and improve clinical outcomes for earlier discharge.

Relevance

Music is an evidence-based intervention, however, many hospitals and clinics will not have formal access to music therapy. There are many benefits to the use of music in the clinical and non-clinical environment. The use of music as a therapy tool is a non-pharmacological intervention that can be used across the lifespan, from paediatric wards to nursing homes and palliative care. Music can enhance the quality of life, as well as assisting in the development of the therapeutic relationship.
